Plans by opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) to use the ongoing strike by judicial support staff to advance their political interested has foiled, with the latest development being that the support staff have called off the strike.

Spokespersin for staff staff Andy Haliwa confirmed tothis publicarion that the public will be able to access court services from Thursday.
Haliwa said the strike has been called off following the advise from the legal experts and the meeting with the chief justice on Monday.
Judiciary spokesperson Mlenga Mvula has also confirmed the news. confirmed the development. The judiciary support staff have been pressurising the ministry of finance for house allowances. The industrial action has taken three weeks before it is called off.
