MCP Crisis: Jumbe Sides With Kabwira Against Chakwera’s Dictatorship Style,No Respect For Party’s Constitution
Law marker for Malawi Congress Party (MCP) in Salima Central constituency Felix Jumbe has concurred with Salima North East parliamentarian Jessie Kabwira saying the party’s leadership has lost direction and not upholding the Party constitution they vowed to defend, raising a concern that this is unacceptable in the democratic era.
In his post on social media, Jumbe lamented that Chakwera and his leadership have no respect for the party constitution and this is a clear sign that, if given the chance to rule Malawi, they cannot respect the constitution.
Jumbe was fired from the MCP on allegations that he was insubordinate and belonging to parallel structures within the MCP.
“It is unwise for the party failing to re-instate Kabwila even after it had cleared her of any wrong-doing.All i see now are insults to Hon Jessie Kabwila which is bad and people with power in MCP seem to be behind this ,” Said Jumbe.
