Former chief immigration officer Hudson Mankhwala appeared before the Lilongwe magistrates court on similar charges.

Mankhwala has been slapped with neglect of official duties for his alleged failure to scrutinize the granting of the citizenships to the foreigners between April 2013 and April 2013.

During that period, Mussa was minister of Home Affairs.

Mankhwala has since been told to report to ACB offices every two weeks while Mussa had rejected the accusations describing it as witch hunting.
