President Mutharika Hosted Heads Of Diplomatic Missions, International Organisations At Kamuzu Palace
Malawi President Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika on Thursday, 16th February, 2017 hosted an annual working luncheon for Heads of Mission and international organisations resident in Malawi at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.
According to State House, this is an annual event during which the two parties share notes on their relations with Malawi.
President Prof. Arthur Mutharika led the Malawi team which included the Vice President; Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Finance, Gender, Information and Health.
The Heads of Mission who attended the meeting included Ambassadors, representatives from Zimbabwe, the United States of America, Germany, Norway, the European Union-EU, Tanzania, Zambia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, Nigeria, India, Egypt, Mozambique and Iceland.
Some of the International organisations represented at the luncheon include the International Monetary Fund-IMF, World Bank, UNDP, UNHRC, UN Women, UNFPA, JICA, WHO, African Development Bank-ADB and WFP among others.
