The sentences will run consecutively meaning that in total Manondo and Kumwembe will serve 26 years imprisonment with hard labour.
Kasambara hinted of a possible appeal but it will take some time as Supreme court of appeal judges are reported on holiday.
The attempted murder of Mpwiyo is believed to be a deal gone sour between Kasambara and Mpwiyo.
Mpwiyos shooting exposed a systematic looting of state funds which were aimed at bankrolling Joyce Bandas campaign , in the run to 2014 elections.
Banda who is in self imposed exile was named by several convicts including Kasambara to be their witness in cash gate related trials.
