Final Students from Malawi Polytechnic College, a constituent college of University of Malawi have denied to be part of the vigil which are set to start on Tuesday,July 12,2016 against the fees hiking by UNIMA council.
According to a document we have seen (attached) herewith, the final students of this college have written their administration telling them that they will not be part of the planned vigils being finalists and they want the protection of the college authorities.
“As final students of polytechnic, we would like to condemn the manner in which the University of Malawi Students Union (UMSU) and Polytechnic Students Union (PSU) have conducted themselves, as final students, we have been victims of school closure and our calendar being affected. We are already one year behind our normal calendar and as such, we will not be part of this.”Reads part of their letter.
These finales want to go on with their classes and they are set to write final examination and as such, they do not want to see their school being closed for they will be victims.
