It is on record that the secretary general on interim basis is Alex Solanke deputised by William Jalani.Other members include Janet Chikoko, Charles Mwambyale and Nevert Gondwe.

Information in our possession has indicated that another peoples party official and  political rolling stone Humphrey Mvula is earmarked for the post of  party strategist while Malawi Congress Party seasoned economist  Dr Matthews Chikaonda is said to be lured to join the ranks.

However, the launch of the party has faced hurdles after some members went to court stopping Kambala from being the interim leader upon receiving instructions from former leader, Joyce Banda.
